OrCAD Celebrates 30 years!

June will be an exciting month. This month we celebrate the 30th Anniversary of OrCAD. Since 1985, OrCAD technology has been at the forefront of PC-based electronic design automation (EDA) tools and design solutions with trusted and innovative products and technology.

Cadence has announced an exciting 30th Anniversary release – OrCAD 16.6-2015. This month, customers who are on maintenance will be able to upgrade to the new version free of charge.

With a large focus on the broad OrCAD customer base, the OrCAD 16.6-2015 release introduces new products and capabilities to help PCB design teams keep pace with current design and time-to-time market challenges.

Key highlights:

• New OrCAD technologies offering component data management, fabrication checks, intelligent panel design, and signal quality validation
• New high-speed design capabilities for simulating, constraining, routing, and verifying your critical interfaces
• Increased overall productivity with new features for OrCAD Capture, PCB Editor, and PSpice
