Semtech LoRa® Transceiver Platforms Selected for New MultiTech IoT Communications System

Semtech announced its SX1301 LoRa® multi-band gateway transceiver and SX1272 LoRa end-node transceiver have been selected by MultiTech for its new MultiConnect® family of LoRaWAN™ gateways and RF modules—now in mass production and available through multiple distributors globally.

The complete MultiConnect LoRaWAN-ready portfolio includes the Conduit™ gateway featuring a LoRa concentrator mCard™ accessory card and mDot™ low cost LoRa module. Together they comprise a configurable, manageable and scalable communications solution for industrial Internet of Things (IoT) applications. The Conduit can be configured broadly with a LoRa access card and a wide range of wired or wireless backhaul options, including Ethernet and network-approved cellular connectivity options.

Each Conduit gateway is capable of managing thousands of mDots, in either private or public IoT network applications. The flexibility and performance of the system makes it an ideal solution for agricultural, industrial, utility, smart city and healthcare applications.
