Embedded systems often have a wide variety in tasks to perform. These tasks vary from sophisticated HMI’s and processor intensive data-analysis to the real time monitoring of sensors and control of actuators. In the past, these tasks were handled by different microcontrollers and -processors. A new approach is the use of a heterogenic SOC, that brings these cores together on one SOC. In this presentation we will explain how to remain in control of your design, when working with heterogenic SOC’s.
