The Electric Vehicle (EV) industry is growing at an accelerated rate. From consumer, commercial and transportation vehicles all sectors are adapting EV technology, supporting the transition to a more sustainable future. However, the use of lithium-ion batteries as an energy source in the electric vehicles brings the risk of potential failure modes that can lead to increased temperatures and catastrophic consequences. In order to mitigate this risk, it is crucial to explore new technologies that enhance EV battery safety and enable effective condition monitoring. This seminar aims to provide insights into such advancements and their role in ensuring the reliability and security of EV batteries.
