Thursday 1st of June, lecture room: Croesefoyer
Industrial steel plate inspection requires highly reliable systems that acquire and process data at very high speeds. The high-demanding problem domain introduces multiple challenges, among others: high speed, multichannel sampling and transmitter-receiver synchronicity for all channels.
This presentation will guide the audience through a design approach that is both modular and scalable. Through the usage of System-On-Modules the power of CPU and FPGA fabric has been made available. The presentation will explain how design challenges have been tackled and which technologies have been used. You will learn on Xilinx Zynq, high-speed Aurora, dedicated clocking networks and much more.
