The "stuff" that rigid PCBs are made of ?
In fact, the most commonly used base material for rigid PCBs, FR-4, has a lot in common with a fabric. FR-4 is a fabric made of glass fibers surrounded by an epoxy resin. As in the textile industry, FR-4 is referred to as weft and warp.
Our new blog about the base material FR-4 explains why this property is by no means only relevant for PCB manufacturers, but also plays an important role in the design of a reliably functioning PCB. ?
