“The move towards higher voltage levels in EVs carries several key advantages such as improved efficiency, faster charging and the use of smaller components with it. At the same time, it also presents us with several engineering challenges including important safety and other design considerations, especially in terms of MLCC choice. The market is currently adopting 800V, but it seems only a matter of time before we go beyond that. This presentation aims to draw on a range of MLCC applications within EV systems and review what aspects to evaluate in order to meet the ever-higher safety and reliability requirements at these voltage levels.”
