How low can the voltage of battery drop before your device turns off, and how does it operate at different stages of the battery while it discharges ?
Keithley’s 2281S-20-6 Battery Simulator can model any type of battery required, so testing prototype devices can be done at any battery state, as well as the life of the battery can be estimated.
To create a battery model, a Keithley Graphical SourceMeter 2450 or 2460 can be used. A battery model-generating script operates the SourceMeter as a constant current load and derives the model parameters
The SourceMeter outputs a 101-point model, where each point represents a capacity from 0% to 100%, and each point has a Voc and a Rint
The battery model can be loaded into the Battery Simulator, model 2281S-20-6.
Combining a 2281S-20-6 with the Graphical Sampling DMM7510 provides a complete solution for power consumption/battery life assessment
