The use of Supercritical Fluid Chromatography (SFC) is ascending for Chiral separations due to the lower solvent consumption, faster run time and higher resolution on enantiomers separations. This seminar will present the advantages of using SFC for enantiomers purification against Reverse-Phase HPLC. It shows a comparison of the amount of time required for the separation of the two isomers of TSO (trans-stilbene oxide), the difference in solvent consumption for this separation and the difference in resolution between the isomers. In addition, this seminar will present the general advantages of SFC as a technique, allowing faster separations (Chiral or Achiral) and the efficiency to both handle the collected fractions and to easier stack injections for purifications of larger samples.
