A few more places available at LabNL
The final floorplan is ready and can be found on the website. Would you like to participate but haven’t registered yet? Register and choose your preferred stand location on the floorplan. The grey stand locations are still available.
How do you register? Take an option at your preferred location on the current floor plan and then register using the registration form. Do you need time to think about your stand location? We will keep your reserved location in option for two business days so you can be sure of your stand location. Pay attention, both the option and registration are only final after conformation.
The LabNL fair focuses on the latest developments and trends. It is the place for lab technicians, lab-managers and researchers who are looking for concrete solutions. Read more about the LabNL fair and why it is interesting to participate as an exhibitor.

Look back at kick-off E&A and LabNL 2023
How do you make a content planning, a plan to attract visitors before, during and after a trade fair or event? How do you create content that appeals your existing and new customers and encourages them to action? And how do you attract visitors via LinkedIn? These practical questions were answered during the kick-off of the Electronics & Applications and LabNL last Thursday at FHI in Leusden. We look back on a successful afternoon!
A practical presentation about the current information regarding exhibitor recruitment and the floorplan. Next tot his, practical workshops were given with a common goal: starting a joint visitor recruitment.
But how to proceed?
- Start sharing socials on company accounts and colleagues every week.
- Make messages personal and attractive by telling your customers and relations what benefits they experience. What will they experience at the fair that they should not miss?
- Make appointments for the trade fair now. Divide time slots in, for example, a tool like Calendly for colleagues at the fair on which interested parties can register.
Good luck!

Avans + LabNL content partner
We contacted Avans + to help us fill in the interactive workshops of LabNL. Avans + has been a member of FHI Laboratory Technology for many years and as a trainer in laboratory technology the perfect partner for completing the substantive sessions during the fair. One of the subjects is the session ‘basic considerations when selecting a new device ‘ and ’ which column do I choose which application ’ are filled in by experts via Avans +.
Seminar on DNA technologies aimed at the life science target group
Developments in DNA technologies have accelerated in recent years. In the seminar focused on DNA technologies, experts in the field of these techniques share their knowledge and give an insight into the numerous applications that are now and in the future possible. This seminar is specifically aimed at lab managers, lab technicians and researchers from life science and biotech.
CRISPR-Cas
One of the most important technologies at the moment is CRISPR-Cas. This technique allows scientists to process DNA from organisms very accurately by cutting, replacing or adding pieces from the DNA. Professor Raymond Staals of Wageningen University & Research ( WUR ) opens the day with a lecture on this technique. With years of research, WUR has been closely involved in the discovery of CRISPR-Cas and Raymond Staals paints a picture of the developments, importance and many applications of this technique.
Breeding
An example of such an application is the breeding. CRISPR-Cas enables breeders to improve crops very accurately and efficiently. With the growing world population and climate change, CRISPR-Cas seems to be the solution for sustainable agriculture. Monique van Vegchel of Plantum, the trade association for breeders, presents a number of practical applications of CRISPR-Cas in plants that are already on the market and gives examples of applications in the future.
A DNA-based healthcare
Developments in DNA technologies not only play a major role in agriculture, but are also revolutionary in healthcare. An exapmle is the international study led by the Leiden University Medical Center ( LUMC ) that shows that prescribing medication based on a DNA profile also has real effect. In this form of precision medicine, the medication of patients is adapted to their DNA using, for example, a DNA medication pass or app.
To map out the various developments and the consequences thereof, Professor Johan den Dunnen of the LUMC gives a lecture on DNA-based healthcare.
The seminar developments in DNA technologies will take place on Wednesday 27 September from 9:30 am to 11:00 am during the trade fair LabNL.
