Supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) has emerged as a powerful technique for chiral separations in recent years. Its unique properties, including high diffusivity, low viscosity, and tunable selectivity, make it particularly well-suited for the analysis and purification of enantiomers.
Over the last 10 years at Symeres we have invested in SFC technology to meet the growing needs of our clients and we have implemented efficient workflows to develop chiral analytical methods and transfer them for preparative separation.
We will discuss the advantages of SFC for a mid-sized CRO and how we came to utilize this technique for maximum flexibility and versatility. The current combination of instruments and techniques allows us to perform on demand reaction monitoring, extensive chiral screenings and preparative work ranging from milligrams to hundreds of grams.
For many projects SFC has proved the ideal solution and harnessing its power gives us the cutting edge to solve complex issues when chiral applications are required.
