Brain professor Erik Scherder opens LabNL
Erik Scherder, professor of neuropsychology and movement sciences, will open the conference program of LabNL, the trade fair for laboratory technology, on 26 September. The well-known scientist will shed light on the latest developments in science and what we have learned about our brains. This well-known name will appeal to visitors to LabNL and boost visitor recruitment.
Scherder is a familiar face in the media. The professor conducts research into the influence of music and movement on the brain. For example, he published a book on this subject, entitled Singing in the brain. Scherder also studies the relationship between physical (in)activity and behavior in people with and without dementia.
Scherder’s opening keynote forms the basis for an extensive three-day lecture program during LabNL. On the first day of the exhibition (Tuesday 26 September) the focus will be on lab optimization. Speakers from science and practice will tell you how you can work faster and more accurately in the lab. The Wednesday program focuses on life science, while the final day focuses on separation techniques.
On the exhibition floor in hall 7 of the Jaarbeurs, the visitor is extensively informed about the latest technologies, solutions and tools for the laboratory. As an exhibitor, you effectively inform the trade fair visitor about the latest innovations and products. At the same time, visitors have access to the Electronics & Applications exhibition. This trade fair for the electronics market is organized simultaneously with LabNL, also in hall 7. Both fairs can be visited free of charge after registration.
Seven reasons to participate in LabNL
Participation in LabNL offers many advantages for the exhibitors. Still unsure about your participation? We give you seven reasons why participation in LabNL is interesting for your company.
- Reach the entire lab industry
- High-quality visitor base
- Strong substantive programme
- Together you achieve more
- Lots of variety on the trading floor
- Efficient format with standard stand construction
- Increase online visibility
- Reach the entire lab industry
At LabNL you will meet the entire laboratory sector. LabNL is the meeting place for lab managers and analysts, scientists, safety officers and QA/QC managers, data analysts, directors and buyers who are looking for solutions.
- High-quality visitor base
We use the same recruitment power as with the WoTS. Dat Die has proven to be effective and attracts many visitors. FHI has a large database of former visitors to fairs and events. It is a segmented database of people who are really interested in the field.
- Strong substantive programme
Together with the participants, we create a strong substantive programme. A combination of hands-on sessions that immediately offer the lab technician and lab manager concrete expertise, tips and information. In addition, inspiring lectures, such as the key note by Professor Dr. Erik Scherder, but also seminars on PFAS and new developments in DNA technologies. We know that the content of the program is an important factor for visiting the fair.
- Together you achieve more
Together with our exhibitors, we make every effort to attract visitors and make the fair a success. We send mailings, post messages on (social) media and use podcasts, advertisements and much more. Together we reach more people than a company alone!
- Lots of variety on the trading floor
LabNL offers a varied exhibition floor where a wide range of innovations, products and services are displayed. This offers you as an exhibitor an excellent opportunity to meet new visitors.
- Efficient format with standard stand construction
We offer an excellent price/quality ratio by using standard stands. This makes it financially feasible for smaller companies to participate in the fair
- Increase online visibility
You are not only visible to your target groups during the exhibition days. Via the exhibition site Labnl.nl you can increase your online visibility thanks to an online profile and the possibility to post news yourself.
Are you convinced and do you want to register for LabNL? Then you can use the online form.
The first registration round will close on Friday 3 March 2023 and we will start drawing up the concept floor plan. Companies that have registered no later than this date will be registered in this first classification. Your wishes for the stand location will be taken into account. Of course, registration after March 3, 2023 is also possible, but then we can take less account of the indicated wishes.
Lecture program LabNL announced
In January, various groups of (potential) LabNL participants came together to shape the substantive programme. Within the 3 themes, namely lab optimization, life science and detection and separation techniques, the seminar topics, interactive sessions and workshops were considered. And good ideas have come out of that.
We are enthusiastic about the combination of a lecture program and hands-on activities such as workshops and “tips & tricks” sessions. We will start with the following topics:
1. Lab Optimization
- From manual to automated methods
- Data
- Lean laboratory workshop
- Ergonomics workshop
2. Life Sciences
- Developments in DNA technologies
- Diagnostics
- Sustainability
- Sample management
3. Detection and Separation Techniques
- Super critical liquid chromatography
- Workshop Which column do I choose for which application
- Basic considerations when selecting a device
- Advantages and disadvantages of detection systems
- PFAS
Together we create a powerful program for LabNL. We cordially invite you to think along about the interpretation of these topics. Send your ideas to wendy@fhi.nl or call 033-4657507.
You can of course also register for the exhibition via the registration form.
