Save the date Kick-off LabNL
FHI is organizing an inspiring kick-off meeting for all exhibitors of LabNL 2023 on Thursday 11 May. In addition to the practical matters regarding the fair, we will make it an educational and interactive afternoon. Various workshops are offered with directly applicable tips & tricks to make optimal use of social media channels for the acquisition of visitors as well as personnel. Think of recruiting with LinkedIn. How do you create content to recruit visitors? How can ChatGPT help you create content that appeals to your target audience? And how do you use Instagram to reach the younger audience.
Both registered exhibitors and companies that are still considering exhibiting are very welcome, together with the trade press, to obtain more information about the fair on this afternoon. The kick-off will take place at FHI, Leusderend 12 in Leusden. You can expect an invitation email shortly with a link to sign up for the kick-off. The kick-off will be in Dutch language.
Practical workshops during LabNL
The substantive program during LabNL is not only formed by seminars and lectures. Instead, we want to offer more short practical sessions, which are of direct use to the visitor in his or her daily work. These short sessions leave more than enough time for a visit to the exhibition floor.
We have now given substance to a number of sessions. On Tuesday, September 26, the workshop ’the first steps towards a lean laboratory’ and the workshop ‘ergonomics and physical strain’ are on the program.
The workshop ’the first steps towards a lean laboratory’ is given by Geanne Sterenberg of UMC Utrecht. She has years of experience with lean processes at UMC Utrecht, including in the laboratories of the hospital. She takes this experience with her to the workshop.
During this workshop, lab technicians and lab managers learn the basics of lean and what it can mean for their own working environment. What are the advantages of this way of working?
Geanne explains the five basic principles of lean and gives examples from the daily practice of a laboratory.
The workshop ‘ergonomics and physical strain’ is given by a familiar face of LabSafety participants and visitors, namely Iris in ’t Leven. Iris has been giving training on ergonomics for Avans+ for many years and will lead a short session for LabNL with the most important tips & tricks in this area.
Input sought for workshop ‘sustainability in the lab’
The workshop ‘sustainability in the lab’ is scheduled for Wednesday 27 September. The winner of the WoTS 2022 ‘’sustainability in the lab’’ challenge, Hogeschool Leiden, will give a presentation about all the measures they have taken to make their labs more sustainable.
In addition, we are still looking for the implementation of a subsequent workshop. We would like to put the lab technicians and lab managers to work on this theme. Do you have ideas on how we can approach this theme or who can give this workshop? Let us know at eline@fhi.nl.
