Glyphosate & Co. – Five reasons why direct analysis is a breeze
The ongoing public debate about the potential threat to humans and the environment from the total herbicide glyphosate has led to increased consumer awareness and increasing analytical numbers in food laboratories in recent years. The physico-chemical properties of glyphosate and other representatives of polar anionic pesticides make the determination of these substances an analytical challenge. With the chromatographic solution from Waters presented here, glyphosate and a selection of relevant polar anionic pesticides and growth regulators as well as their transformation products can be removed from the list of analytical problem candidates.
