The emerging international standards for test methods for LED lamps and luminaires (EN13032-4 and CIE S 025) in principle allow goniophotometric measurements to be performed in an orientation other than the designed burning position. This paper demonstrates an implementation of the norm compliant auxiliary photometer method on a commercial turning-luminaire goniospectroradiometer and validates the corrected data for different types of light sources. A comparison of the results with the turning-luminaire to measurements of the test specimen in its designed burning position with so called luminous flux integrator will be performed.
