TECHNOLOGY THURSDAY: The History of Order Pooling
TECHNOLOGY THURSDAY
A typical term in PCB manufacturing is the panel. A panel is a rectangular sheet of base material that runs through the entire production process. At the edge of the panel are the markings for the production machines and the PCBs inside.
Depending on the size, the panel can contain one or more PCBs of the same type or, as at Eurocircuits in prototyping, various PCBs (pooling). From an economic point of view, it is important to make optimum use of the surface area and also to ensure that the PCBs have to be separated from the panel at the PCB manufacturer or after PCB assembly.
