Synopsis: Machine builders are moving from 12V or 24V to 48V distribution to reduce cabling costs. At the same time, with each new generation of processor, memory technology and ASIC/FPGA, designers face the challenge of handling lower voltages, higher currents and more on-board voltages. The speaker introduces a building block approach using a power components design to cover the complete source-to-POL power chain.
