A fault-operation strategy for compensating the degrading converter performance which is implemented in an Active Suspension System is proposed. The system consist of four 3-phase converters connected to a 48V bus. The performance degradation (which caused by component and sensor faults) is detected by model-based Fault Detection and Identification. In order to achieve the suspension performance specification, the fault-tolerance control based on Linear-Parameter Varying system is suggested. Therefore, the objectives of this research are to increase the vehicle comfort and road holding while increasing the power electronics reliability when the fault occurs.
