Sensitive loads on the LV grid are often vulnerable to voltage disturbances originating from faults on the MV side. A series-connected Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) is an effective protective interface for such power quality issues. In our research work, we propose and validate an improved topology for a battery-fed DVR, focusing on higher efficiency and power density, as well as robust and prompt voltage compensation.
