Designing a battery pack for a fully-electric racing motorcycle to obtain the best performance from the cells is a particular challenge. The special racing conditions require careful cell selection to avoid any impedance mismatching inside each module as well as good configuration of the final battery pack to make the pack as uniform as possible based on the categorized cells.
The presentation will outline our work on evaluation of 600 cells with the aim to find the best-performing cells to be included in the final battery pack, as well as finding the optimal configuration and cell sequence in a battery pack for a fully-electric racing motorcycle.
