Delft Hyperloop is a student team consisting of 38 students from the TU Delft. They are designing and producing a hyperloop prototype within the time span of one year. With their prototype, Delft Hyperloop competes in the European Hyperloop Week 2022. Together with 24 other participating team from all over the world, they compete to win all awards.
This year, Delft Hyperloop VI takes 3 giant leaps to push their innovation even further. Their prototype named “Helios I” is going to be a levitating pod. They will use Hybrid Electromagnetic Suspension to lift the pod from the track. In addition, the pod will be hanging beneath the track instead of “sitting” on the track. This is done because of scalable purposes. finally, Delft Hyperloop VI is optimizing their magnetic propulsion system: the Linear Synchronous Motor (LSM).
