The best operating temperature for a battery is between 20-30°C, this is valid for both summer and winter conditions.
To have an optimal use of your batteries, it is recommended:
- During colder periods, ambient < 20°C, the batteries need to be heated during low to minimal charge and discharge conditions.
- During hotter periods ambient >20°C the batteries need to be cooled when high charge/ discharge or ambient > 30°C conditions are applicable
The talk discusses how optimal thermal management can help here to reach that goal by using analytical/ experimental and computational techniques it will show examples of this type of analyses and solutions how to meet the goal.
