PV-systems differ in performance due to the orientation, grades of pollution and shading patterns. SEAC analyzed two distinct approaches of so-called Module Level Power Electronics (MLPE): dc-dc conversion (power optimizers) and the micro-inverter approach. In a test set-up the different performances under varying conditions were accurately measured. This session explains the environmental influences on the performance of both MPLE’s. The outdoor test period was 1 year.
