Arbitrary Waveform Generators (AWG) provide an easy and flexible solution for the design and the generation of sequences of arbitrary pulses. This makes them very suitable for applications in Spin Resonance spectroscopies as well as for Quantum Technologies. In this work we first develop a home-made microwave spectrometer based on an AWG by Active Technologies SRL with the aim to test the implementation of qubits into spin ensembles embedded into planar superconducting microwave resonators at low temperature. We then successfully design and test several pulse sequences on a molecular spin ensemble, showing its coherent manipulation though the resonator and its viability as potential qubit.
