Direct to/from microwave, Real-Time Feedback-Forward Cycle control using commercial-off-the-shelf modular components
The architecture of the latest generation of integrated Digitizers/AWGs can support the generation and acquisition of any RF signal in the microwave band without the need for external modulators, demodulators or mixers. This short presentation will introduce the basic concepts of direct RF signal generation and acquisition using high-speed ADCs and DACs, the DUC (Digital Up-Converter) and DDC (Digital Down-Converter) concepts, the linear correction strategies and solutions to improve the accuracy and repeatability of the RF waveforms being generated and captured and analyzed, and the real-time, user-defined processing architectures that make possible closing the loop in working quantum computing systems.
