Océ is a company that develops and produces Printing Systems. These printing systems are placed in different environments, example: Production, Repro’s and office. When developing a User Interface for these systems, the User and the task the user want to execute, should have the focus. However, Development- and part-cost, total cost of ownership and the product design are also very essential aspects that need to be addressed. Most of the time, these type of aspects, are conflicting and need to be solved during the development of a User Interface. This presentation will give some insight on what conflicting aspects the User Interface Design team at Océ are facing and how these aspects are being handled.
